Thanks to All of Our Flexpress Family
We speak often of the new technology and top-of-the-line equipment we have here at Flexpress, but we know it doesn’t mean a thing without our great employees. We see the dedication our employees put into their jobs every day and want to send out a sincere “thank you!” to each one for all their hard work. From the technical savvy needed to run the equipment to the incredible ninja-like hand skills of our bindery crew as they assemble the detailed pieces we print, customer service and pride in a job well done is evident every step of the way. We also want to thank our customers for partnering with us. We strive daily to deliver the best possible product as we work for you and with you. And, of course, our vendors deserve a big nod of appreciation for working hard to provide the equipment and materials we need to do our jobs. It truly is a team effort and we hope everyone knows how much they are appreciated. Thanks to all, and have a great Labor Day Weekend!

Employee Spotlight: Ralph L.
What is your official title at Flexpress? I believe my official title would be Printer Operator/Bindery How would you describe your duties at Flexpress? My job at Flexpress varies due to being a printer and working in bindery. At times I am collating books, padding, inserting, tabs and binding, and other times I’m working the printers, running jobs and monitoring the machines. What is your favorite part of your job? The favorite part of my job would be the spontaneous goods and big potlucks we have about every month. I can never resist free food and desserts. What one thing would people be most surprised to find out about you? One thing I think people would be most surprised to find out is that I was in All District Choir. What do you like to do outside of work? When I’m not working, I love to relax and just hang out with friends. I also love dancing, filming, going to the gym and playing sports such as football and basketball. I understand you are in a dance group. How did you get interested in that? Employee Spotlight: Philip R.
We are so fortunate to have some great people here at Flexpress and one of the best is Philip, our GM. If you have ever called or come in, there is a very good chance you’ve had the pleasure of talking with him. While Philip is an incredibly strong source of knowledge about all things print related, we’ve decided to put him to the test and find out a few things about a different subject – him. We think you will be as impressed as we are. You are such a presence at Flexpress. How long have you been with the company? Eleven years. What was your first job at Flexpress? We really didn’t have positions/titles when I started in 2000. We had a much smaller staff. You were expected to be able to handle everything that came in, or find a way to make it happen. It was really important to be able to multitask and handle multiple jobs/positions: help customers, scan jobs, run the machines, do bindery, and work nights and weekends. Service on Display
You’ll notice Flexpress is different the minute you walk into our lobby. Our people are easily accessible. So accessible, in fact, that you will find both Sandy, our CSR; and Philip, our manager, stationed right there when you walk in. Why? Because we believe in putting service front and center. No gatekeeper, no barriers, just quick and friendly answers. The difference doesn’t stop with Philip and Sandy’s customer-friendly presence. Right behind Philip’s desk is a window to our bindery with a great view of the inner workings of our bindery on display for all to see. Most printers prefer to keep this area at the back of the building, out of sight. Perhaps because they adhere to the notion that much like sausage making, there are some things that are better appreciated when the process is unknown. We couldn’t disagree more. We have the window to show off our people and our process. It is not only fascinating to watch projects come together but we also think it provides an opportunity to see who is doing the work and realize the pride our employees take in their efforts.
